Pipeline Project
After graduating from the University of Washington, I served two AmeriCorps terms through a program based out of campus called Pipeline Project (now Riverways Education Partnerships). The program connects UW undergraduates with tutoring and mentoring opportunities in the Seattle-area and across Washington State.
Highlights:
Recruited and trained 500+ undergraduates to serve as tutors as mentors in the program.
Coordinated a yearly Literacy Arts Alternative Spring Break project, working with 12 schools across Washington State.
Managed partnerships with contacts in local schools and organizations, as well as across campus.
Revamped marketing and communications strategies for the program, including supporting a rebranding.

Led efforts to ensure SAM was inclusive in the audiences we serve, for example through community partnerships and the curation of the Community Gallery highlighting artists from local schools and organizations.
Developed a learning space in the museum focused on community dialogue around DEI conversations.
Member of the Racial Equity Committee, helped to lead internal DEI efforts and cultural shifts.

City Year Features
Through relationships I built with university partners, I was able to share my career and personal journey in a variety of media formats. Here are a few examples.
Lush
Throughout my career (and sometimes on top of my full-time job), I have worked retail. One of my favorite experiences was working at Lush for two years. Not only did it spark my interest in skincare - it was also an expected space that allowed me to get creative, build relationships and connect with people in a special way, making it one of my favorite experiences.
Highlights:
Promoted from a seasonal holiday employee to a position on the core team.
Quickly developed and deepened knowledge of common ingredients found in skincare through intensive onboarding and ongoing trainings.
