Hi, I’m Marcus!

I’m a community builder, connector, and creative based out of Seattle, WA.

I’m a Filipino-American born and raised in the Seattle area. I graduated from the University of Washington where I studied art history and economics, though the majority of time outside my classes was spent in the community where I especially loved working with K-12 students as a tutor and mentor. Currently I am a Talent Acquisition Manger at Cultivate, connecting changemakers to opportunities in progressive and social impact organizations.

My professional experience has been a journey where I’ve worked in higher education, an art museum, and non-profits - this has helped me to develop a variety of skills and enabled me to literally do a little bit of everything. So I guess you can say that I have experience in project & program management, DEI, community engagement & partnerships, etc., but really what this means to me is that I’m passionate about people, their stories, creating connections, and building community.

On a personal level, I love to travel, the arts (and just being able to be creative in general!), the outdoors, food, reading, and skincare. Most importantly, I love spending time with friends, family and loved ones.

See below for highlights from some of my work experiences, which you can also read more about here.
